William Carl Bennett, 88, of Seminole Texas, passed away on February 6,2026 at 3:09. Born on January 26, 1938 in Seagraves, Texas in Gaines County, he was a devoted husband to Kathleen Denton Bennett and a loving father to Donna Bennett Bolding and Rita Bennett Gray Carl was hard-working and dedicated. He opened his own Mechanic shop Carl’s Auto Service in 1964 in Seminole, where he was known for his knowledge, kindness, generosity to always help others. He went above and beyond to make sure his family had what they needed. He always helped with widows and elderly with their vehicles or anything else. Many would bake him a cake or pie for his generosity. Though Daddy may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of fatherly love honored. He was a man of integrity, kindness, generosity and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Many would say he was a man that “ talked the talk and walked the walk” he was the kindest, nicest, and most intelligent man they ever knew. Daddy enjoyed doing lots of different things. He could build or repair anything. After retirement Carl and Kathleen enjoyed traveling and seeing where the ancestors came from. He loved to take Kathleen on trips and see the US together. He was so proud of his beautiful wife. Carl loved Kathleen 68years. Their wedding anniversary February 8, 1958 On their journey to see family history, they found some of his family from his great Grandmother Bennett-Coble. Finding all of them was the a treasure he held close to his heart. It made him happy to be able to help and bless others. Such as Fixing and repairing things or mowing their lawn. He always knew what to do or what needed to be done to get something resolved. He had some friends they drank coffee together for 50+ years known as the “Coffee Gang” they would get together and discuss. This group together they could figure out how to make anything work. They all had their special talents. His love for helping others was something he shared with his children, leaving a mark on us that will never fade. He is survived by Kathleen Bennett, daughter Rita and husband Steve Gray, granddaughters Sarah and husband Jeff Statham and Bailey Bolding, son-in-law Larry Bolding, sister Willie Bea McKee, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly by.
