Seagraves…. Funeral Services for Vickie Sue Smith,70, of Seagraves will be held at 4:00 P.M., Friday, November 8,2024 in the 12th Street Church of Christ of Seagraves with Ray Young officiating, with interment in the Gaines Co. Seagraves Cemetery under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seagraves.

Vickie passed away in Lubbock Co. on Monday, November 4, 2024.

Vickie was born August 12, 1954, to Alvie Price and Patsy R. Cox in Hereford Texas. Vickie moved to Seagraves Texas in 1963, graduating from Seagraves High School in 1972. Vickie continued her education at West Texas State University in Canyon, TX. Vickie married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Kenneth Smith on August 17,1973. Vickie and Kenneth were blessed with four sons. Vickie ran a home-based childcare for 36 years and jokingly stated that” she helped raise half of the children in Seagraves”. Vickie and Kenny loved to travel but Cloudcroft was her “Special Place.”

Vickie was preceded in death by her parents and a son Timothy Alan Smith in 1984.

Vickie is survived by her husband, Kenny Smith, sons, Nathan Smith & Melissa, Matthew Smith & Yvonne, Kevin Smith along with a brother, Steve Price & Jennifer. Vickie was blessed with seven Grandchildren, Giovanni, Zeta and Josiah, Kyrah, Kaden, Raider, Matthew Blake and Rory. Along with five Great Grandchildren, Eythan, Apollo, Jaxon, Penelope and Lincoln.

Family visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8,2024 from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. at the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel in Seagraves, Texas.
