Travis Ware

Travis Dean Ware, 73, passed away peacefully with family by his side on January 14th, 2025. He was born to Troy Ware and Wanda Ware March 17th, 1951, in Tahoka, Tx. Travis married the love of his life Athena Huffaker on May 25th, 1973, in Denver City, Tx. They shared 23 years of marriage before she departed this earth. Travis and Athena had 3 beautiful daughters, 10 amazing grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Travis is an incredible person with a heart of gold. His laugh was infectious, and he lit up every room he was in. He was a great son, brother, husband, Dad, Papa, and best friend. He loved playing games with his girls, laughing, and reminiscing. He was a generous man, he loved fiercely, and he cared for his family tremendously.

Travis is survived by his daughters Miranda Thomas and April Ward.

His son in laws, Jerry Dominguez, Bart Thomas, and Shannon Ward. His grandchildren, Destini, Randee, Brennen, Blake, Bryson, Cade, Austin, Bret’lei, Kaitlyn, and Braylon. He was also survived by four great grandchildren.

Travis was preceded in death by his wife Athena Ware. His mother and father, Wanda and Troy Ware. His two brothers, Buddy and Calvin Ware and his one sister, Marie Hinson. His daughter Chandra (Chandy) Dominguez.
