Allison Sr. and Ruth (Kennedy)Allison.  He graduated from Denver City High School in 1953 and married his high school sweetheart Mary Alice Harrison on June 28, 1952 in Lovington, New Mexico.  He began his working career with Harrison Well Service and other oilfield services before answering God’s call to preach the gospel.  Tommy graduated FROM THE Sunset School of Preaching in 1968.  During his time of preacher training he made the decision to join Parker Henderson in the Lord’s work in Thailand.  He took his wife and three children, Danny, Darla and D’Aune to Bangkok and began learning the language and teaching the gospel to the Thai people.  He spent eleven years in Thailand and Laos and established congregations in Songkhia and Haad Yai in Southern Thailand.  He and Mary Alice adopted a Thai son, Donny Ahtsawin, during that time.  He preached the gospel message in India, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Laos and many other countries.  Tommy returned to the states and was the pulpit minister for the Denver City Church of Christ for a total of eleven years and also served as an elder.  He then preached for the Eastwood Church of Christ in El Paso for eleven years before returning to the mission field in Laos to support believers who were imprisoned for their Christian faith.  He retired to preach at a small congregation on Colorado City Lake.  In 2006 Tommy and Mary Alice returned to Denver City where they are dearly loved by the local church.

Tommy was an avid fisherman.  He fished on many lakes, fished in Mexico and enjoyed catfishing on Possum Kingdom Lake.  For many years he looked forward to hunting in South Texas on the Harrison Ranch.  He loved watching his grandchildren and the Mustangs play football every chance he had.  He loved his family and his beloved wife of sixty-nine years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Bobby Hice, a brother Jimmy Allison, and a grandson Lance Bennett.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Mary Alice Allison; son Danny Allison and his wife Jeanie of Palestine, Tx; daughter Darla Bennett and husband Chip of Abilene, Tx; daughter D’Aune Rodgers and husband Skip of Denver City, Tx; son Donny Allison and wife Randi of Odessa, Tx; Grandchildren Tommy, Danny Jr., Misty, Michael, Kristy, Rusty, Beau, Blu, Joey, Ross, A’Lysa and Thomas III and twenty-six great grandchildren with another on the way.
