Terry Gene Childress

Terry Gene Childress, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on December 4, 2023, in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral Services for Gene Childress will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Trinity Baptist Church in Denver City, Texas at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jesse Garcia officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, December 11, 2023, from 8:00 am to 8:00 p.m., in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel, in Denver City, Texas. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Homes of Denver City, Texas.

Terry was born in Denver City, Texas on February 11, 1967, to Rodney Gene Childress and Betty Land. He was an auto repair mechanic, he was a hard worker, and when he wasn’t working, he loved racing cars with his father and son. He was very dedicated to and loved his family. He was always willing to help anyone who needed help. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

He is survived by his father, Rodney Gene Childress (Sarah), of Denver City, Texas; mother, Betty Land, of Kansas; a son, Aaron Childress, of Slaton, Texas; daughter, Cassy Childress, of Lubbock, Texas; one grandchild, Vivia Childress. His brother, Ricky Madison, four sisters, Betty Ann Daugherty, Shonda Childress, Brenda Chambers, Debbie Barr.
