Funeral Mass for Susie Mary Torrez will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plains, Texas, under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.

Susie died January 1, 2023 in Denver City, Texas.

She was born on June 3, 1933 in Hutto, Texas to Jesus Martinez and Victoria Morales.

Susie married Margarito Torrez on July 31, 1950 and moved to Plains in 1951, was a homemaker, and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Plains.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, two sisters, and a grandson Israel Moreno Jr. She is survived by three sons; Andrew Torrez of Lubbock, Texas, Margarito Torrez, Jr. and wife Nora of Lubbock, Texas, and Jesus Torrez of Brownfield, Texas; three daughters; Lucy Moreno of Plains, Texas, Suzy Torrez of Arlington, Texas, and Cruz Avila and her husband Cristobal of Plains, Texas, and she had 15 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 26 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday January 3, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Rosary will be held Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ratliff Funeral Home in Denver City.
