Sue Hodnett Elliott was born on May 10, 1941 and passed to her heavenly home on December 4, 2022.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, December 7 at 11 AM at First Baptist Church of Seminole. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 6 from 5:30-7 PM at Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole.
Her parents were Loyd and Inez Hodnett. Sue grew up on a farm in Howard County. She attended Coahoma Schools and graduated from Big Spring High School. In 1980, Sue married the love of her life, O.C. Elliott, and they were longtime residents of Seminole. They spent many years together farming, growing cotton and potatoes. Sue and O.C. also owned and operated Elliott Cotton Company for many years. Sue loved working with the many customers of Elliott Cotton Company. She also loved working in her yard and flowerbeds. She enjoyed her last months of life at Raider Ranch in Lubbock, where she made many new friends and enjoyed the activities immensely.
Sue was proceeded in death by her parents, husband O.C., brothers David Hodnett, Richard Hodnett, and Claude Hodnett, a son Jay Brooks, a grandson Ryan Wallace, and a great granddaughter Jaselle. Survivors include a son Gary Denis Brooks (Marsha) of Seagraves, a daughter Connie Wallace (Ronnie) of Georgetown, three grandchildren, Angela Moore of Wolfforth, Lauren Jones (Garret) of San Antonio, and Kevin Wallace (Charlotte) of Georgetown, and great grandchildren John Jones and Keelie, Kyler, Kaspen, Evelyn, Jeremiah, and Jordan, and special friend Harvey Harris of Andrews.
