Sabino Anselmo Mendias

Funeral services for Sabino A. Mendias 71, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday,

April 19, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Eduardo Teo officiating.

Interment will follow in the Plains Cemetery under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City, Texas.

Visitation and reflections of life will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023, and Tuesday, April 18, 2023, from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. at the Ratliff Funeral Homes Chapel.

Rosary will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 7:00 P.M. at Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel.

Sabino passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Covenant Health System in Lubbock, Texas.

Sabino was born on September 5, 1951, to Pilar Mendias and Aurora Zubiate in Chihuahua, México.

Sabino married Elvira Moreno August 24, 1981, in Plains, Texas. From this union they had two children.

Sabino moved to Plains, Texas in 1968, he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jesus Mendias.

Sabino is survived by his wife of 41 years Elvira Mendias of Plains, Texas, a son Jesus Mendias of Plains, Texas; a daughter Maribel Barbour (Kenneth) of Plains, Texas; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother Manuel Mendias of Mexico; seven sisters Juanita Mendias, Aurora Mendias, Sylivia Mendias, Manuela Mendias, Olivia Mendias, Delia Mendias all of Mexico, Rosario Mendias of Dallas, Texas.
