Ruby Mae Sellers, 92, of Plains, Texas, passed away on August 25, 2026, in Brownfield, Texas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Ratliff Funeral Homes Chapel in Denver City, Texas will a graveside service on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating. Services are under the direction of Troy Ratliff and Ratliff Funeral Homes.

Ruby was born on September 21, 1933, in Sweetwater, Texas, to Earnest Carey and Lottie Mae England.

She married Harry Bilbrey on December 23, 1950, and they shared many years together until his passing on December 14, 1992. Ruby later married Ernest Sellers on June 27, 1997. They remained together until his passing on February 23, 2023.

Ruby was a dedicated and hardworking woman. She served as a secretary for the Yoakum County Extension Office for more than 15 years. She later worked in the cafeteria at Plains ISD until her retirement. Her faith and service to the church were also important parts of her life, and she faithfully served as secretary for the Assembly of God in Plains, Texas for more than 30 years.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; both of her husbands, Harry Bilbrey and Ernest Sellers; her daughter, Teresa Boiles; her brother, Lloyd Carey; and her sister, Georgia White.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Shirley Bunch; her son, Eddie Bilbrey; her sister, Gladys Lamb; her grandchildren, Sherry Nock, Scotty Rains, Steven Bunch, and Dray Boiles; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Ruby will be remembered for her many years of faithful service, her devotion to her family, and the lasting legacy she leaves behind.
