Royce Jean Beard

Royce Jean Beard passed away August 26, 2022 in Lubbock, Texas.  Royce was born June 3, 1951 in Abilene, Texas.  She married the love of her life, Richard Beard, in Lovington, New Mexico April 24, 1973 and moved to Denver City, Texas where they lived together for her remaining years.

Royce spent many years as a crossing guard for Denver City schools but her greatest work was as a mother and homemaker to her three children.

She is preceded in death by her loving mother Betty Jean Bristow and her father Charles Foster, Sr., her sister Roberta Ward, and her brother James Foster.

Royce is survived by her husband Richard Beard, her son Billy Beard and his wife Gina of Denver City, Texas, her daughter Nancy Eastteam and her husband Calvin of Denver City, Texas, her son James Beard and his wife Tina of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, her brother Charles "Bubby" Foster, Jr. of Brownfield, Texas, her sister Laura Agnew of Wellman, Texas, her brother Billy Joe Foster and his wife Kathy of Joshua, Texas, her sister-in-law Donna Foster of Stanford, Texas, ten grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Royce was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
