Roger passed away suddenly at his home on September 5th, 2024.
Roger was born October 11th, 1945, in Seminole, Tx, to Alvis and Edna McCray. He married Molly McGuire on Sept. 20, 1962, in Seminole, Tx. They were married 50 years until her passing on Nov. 6th 2012. Roger grew up working in the oilfield, his dad owned Western Paraffin in Denver City, and he worked on the pulling units. He was also an amazing dirt worker, driving a maintainer and backhoe. Roger loved Horse Racing, he owned a few race horses and raced in Sunland Park & Ruidoso Downs in his early years. He loved animals, and these last few years he has been raising Miniature Longhorn Cattle. He loved going to the coffee shop in the morning and shooting the bull with his coffee drinkers. Rogers favorite child (as his family loving said) was Heidi (a Red Heeler Mix), he took her to town everytime he went and she was at all the family gatherings. She passed earlier this year and he sure was lost without her.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Tony Dale McCray and the love of his life Molly.
He is survived by his two daughters, Sheila Dolloff (Bobby) of Amarillo, Tx and Carolyn McCray of Denver City, Tx, seven grandchildren, David Folmar, Tyler Huffaker, Michael, Ashley Matthews, Krystin Richardson, Kacey Richardson, Taylor Cable, Cross Polston.
