Robbie “Currie” Tindell-Belknap, a precious child of God, drew her last breath on this earth on November 21, 2022 at the age of 89.
Robbie was born on October 12, 1933, at home in Wellman, Texas. She is proceeded in death by her daughter-in-law Judy Tindell, son Larry Tindell, brother Donald “Ben” Currie, and late husband Alfonzo Belknap.
Robbie got her greatest joy from her children, she is survived by Glenda and Bob Simmons, Lubbock, Texas, Donna Robinson, Clovis, NM, Ronnie and LeeAnn Tindell, Rincon, NM, sister-in-law Sue Currie, many nieces, and nephews, and all who have benefited from her strong convictions and tight moral compass.
She loved and is loved by many grandchildren; Sylvia Tindell, Canyon, TX, Shawnna and Randy Vela, Canyon, Texas, Kelsey Tucker, San Antonio, Texas, Rob and Elizabeth Simmons, Lubbock, Texas, Kaitlin and Milan Koprivanecz, Lubbock, Texas, Jasmine and Jimmy Luckey, Spicewood, Texas, Seth Caster, Mountainair, N.M. great-grandchildren; Brayden, Seneca, Rheynna, Dylan, Jace, Shae, Shana, Taegan, Riley, Tripp, Kollin, Konnor, and Isabella.
Robbie graduated from Wellman High School, Wellman, Texas and West Texas Teachers College, Canyon, Texas and had many accomplishments in this life teaching business at Estancia High School, Estancia, N.M., she got great satisfaction from impacting the lives of her students! The support and love she gave to her students were only second to the love and devotion she had for her family.
Robbie was lighthearted and had a great since of humor. She loved making people laugh and being made to laugh. I am sure she is entertaining everyone in heaven right now and laughing about all this!
Robbie always told the truth, whether you wanted to hear it or not! She certainly had a knack for telling it like it was! She was known for her wit! Wilshire on 4th, where she resided, and was taken in as a member of their family and was a favorite of the staff. We are grateful for the love she was shown to her while she was cared for by these beautiful people!
Robbie will be missed by her family, and fondly remembered by her friends and so many students she taught throughout 32 years.
