Funeral services for Osvaldo Benavente Jr., 9, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 14, 2023, at Vercelli Center with

Father Heriberto Mercado officiating and Father Eduardo Teo assisting.

Interment will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City, Texas.

Visitation and reflections of life will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 and Thursday, April 13, 2023 from

8 A.M. to 8 P.M. at the Ratliff Funeral Homes Chapel.

Osvaldo passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, Texas.

Osvaldo was born on June 3, 2013 to Osvaldo Benavente and Irma E. Garcia in Denver City, Texas.

Osvaldo was a fourth grader at DCISD, he loved playing soccer and loved drawing with colored pencils. He always made sure that those around him had a smile on his face, and everyone who knew him will miss him tremendously.

Osvaldo is survived by his parents Osvaldo Benavente and Irma E. Garcia of Denver City, Texas, a sister Evelyn Benavente of Denver City, Texas; his paternal grandparents Antonio and Blanca Benavente of Denver City, Texas; his maternal grandparents Gilberto García Prieto and Irma Delia Nava Alvídrez from Mexico; their aunts, uncles and cousins.
