Norrice Ann Coffey

Norrice Ann Coffey, 86, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 in Katy, Texas. She was born on October 25, 1937 in Kermit, Texas to James Richard Winston Rash and Edith Ulna Norris Rash. She grew up in Seminole, Texas, where her father was a deacon in the Avenue B Church of Christ.

She met and fell in love with Freylon Brewer Coffey who swept her off her feet and would later become his wife of almost 65 years. They soon became parents to Jim and Beth, and ten years later, added John (their "belated prayer"). She is a graduate of UTPB in Odessa, TX and worked for more than 25 years as an elementary school teacher.

After moving to Katy, she became a member of the Katy Church of Christ. She loved volunteering to read to children at Katy Elementary and the Yellow Brick Road class at church.

She is survived by three children, Jim (and Kim) Coffey, Beth Coffey, John Coffey; eight grandchildren, Matthew (and Ashley) Coffey, Jennifer (and Brian) Webb, Michael (and Lauren) Coffey, Kaitlyn Coffey, Paige Coffey, Bryce (and Megan) Coffey, Abbey Coffey, and Claire Coffey and six great-grandchildren, Landon Webb, Addison Webb, Harper Webb, Laci Coffey, Elliott Coffey, and Mia Coffey, a dearly beloved and cherished sister, Janet McElroy, as well as numerous other loving family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel, in Seminole, Texas with Mr. Lynn Money officiating. Interment will follow in the Gaines County Memorial Cemetery, in Seminole, Texas.No
