Narciso F. Martinez

March 18, 1949 – August 14, 2025

Narciso F. Martinez, 76, of Lubbock, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on August 14, 2025, surrounded by loved ones at Covenant Medical Center. He was born on March 18, 1949, in Ranger, Texas, to Marcelino Martinez and Mabel Canales.

Narciso grew up in a loving family and was blessed with strong values, a kind heart, and a deep sense of faith. He was a proud and faithful member of Iglesia Bautista Jerusalem, where he found joy in worship and fellowship with his church family. His belief in God guided his life, and he lived with compassion, humility, and a servant’s heart.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marcelino Martinez; his mother, Mabel Canales; and his sister, Mary Cortez. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Zulema Martinez, his brother, Richard Martinez; sisters, Marcelina Martinez and Elena Rodriguez; and numerous nieces and nephews who adored their “Uncle Narciso.” His family will forever remember his gentle smile, patient nature, and the love he showed to each of them.

Narciso’s loyal companion, his dog Pepper, held a special place in his heart. He adored his wife's dog and the pet cats that they had as much and he did Pepper. The two were inseparable, and Pepper brought him comfort, laughter, and joy in every season of life.

Those who knew Narciso will remember his warmth, quiet strength, and the way he made others feel valued and cared for. He had a special way of listening without judgment and offering words of wisdom when they were needed most.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, August 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 18, at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow.

Though he will be deeply missed, Narciso’s life was a testament to love, faith, and family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
