Mary Jane Ryder

Mary Jane Ryder, of Denver City, Texas, passed away on January 6, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral Service for Mary Jane will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel of Denver City, Texas at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Kyle Streun officiating. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City, Texas.

Mary Jane Ryder was born in Seminole, Texas on June 5, 1947, to Sam Trout and Leona Faye Matthews. Mary Jane played trombone in high school band, she was a dedicated nurse for thirty years, and loved making wooden crosses to hand out to healthcare workers that helped take care of her and to people in the community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Billy Trout and two sisters, Doris Trout and Patsy Belk.

She is survived by her husband, Red Ryder; a daughter, Leona Ryder; a brother, Glenn Trout (Sheila), all of Denver City, Texas; a brother-in-law, Robert Ryder of Hobbs, New Mexico; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Ryder, Lucy Orona (Jr.); nieces, Wanda Durham (Pat), Becky Riley (Jason).
