Marjorie Anne Hardin, of Denver City, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, in Denver City. She was 95 years old. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the Denver City Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel, in Denver City, with Rev. Randy Butler officiating.
She was born on January 28, 1931, in San Antonio, to James Arthur Smotherman and Mayme Jewel Cook. She graduated Sundown High School, and married Lee Wayne Hardin on June 27, 1948 in Sundown, Texas. She was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Wayne; two sons Terry Hardin and Gary Hardin.
She is survived by her son, Norman Hardin; her daughter, Karen Tovar, and husband, Saul; five grandchildren, Shane Hardin, and N’Cole, Tracy Brown, and Kevin, Amanda James, and Jason, Marcus Tovar, and Shalina, Kristin Lefforge, and David; thirteen great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
