Margaret Mable Mcpherson

Margaret Mable McPherson, 96, of Denver City, died on February 20, 2023, at Shinnery Oaks Community. She passed from this life peacefully, surrounded by family and friends. Margaret was born May 5, 1926, to George and Minnie Hauskins in Easton, Minnesota. She was the 11th child born into a Norwegian farming family of 14 children. Margaret spent her childhood and school years in Minnesota. She was confirmed into the Lutheran church as a teenager. When Margaret was 17, she moved to California to live with her older sister, Dolly. She soon met a young soldier named Clifford Dean McPherson. Margaret and “Dean” were married on June 8, 1946, in Reno, Nevada. Dean preceded Margaret in death in 1976. Margaret and Dean had four children: Michael Dean, Rand Everett, Craig Dale and Kathy Kay. They settled in Denver City in 1951, where they farmed and ran Denver City Farm and Chemical. Margaret worked at the store until she retired at the age of 80. Margaret was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Denver City for over 60 years. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Dean, her son Craig, a granddaughter, Kelly Kay, daughter-in-law, Judy McPherson, son-in-law, Carlton Isenberg, and several siblings and dear friends. She is survived by son Michael and wife Janie of Denver City, son Rand and wife Georgette of Lubbock, daughter Kathy of Wellington, daughter-in-law Holly McPherson of Lubbock, sisters Sis Blum and Sharlette Goodrich of Blue Earth Mn., sister Sharlene Goens of Washington, 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
