Lora Jane Pinkston
Funeral services for Lora Jane Pinkston, 91, were conducted Wednesday, May 8, in the First United Methodist Church, where she had been a long-term member. Rev. Rick Doyle officiated the services. Interment followed in the Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, TX on Friday, May 10 with arrangements under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.
She passed away on Monday, April 29, in California.
Mrs. Pinkston was born on April 17, 1933, in St. Francisville, Illinois to William and Fraulein Ralston. The family eventually moved to Texas, where she married Robert D. Pinkston on August 18, 1951. She lived in Texas for over 70 years and considered the state her home. She loved music, choir, and growing plants.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and both sisters, Phyllis Jean and Olive June. She is survived by two sons, David M. Pinkston of Livermore, California, and Thomas R. Pinkton of Herndon, Virginia; three grandchildren, Robert Y. Pinkston, Willliam Y. Pinkston, and Lauren Pinkston Haislip; two great grandchildren, two cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.
