Linda Lavern Horton

Linda Horton, aged 71, passed away on March 4th, 2023, in Richardson, Texas. She was a beloved soul who touched the lives of many.

As a mother, her love knew no bounds. She maintained a foundation of love and family values, providing support and guidance. As a grandmother, she cherished every moment spent with her grandkids.

Known for her delicious home-cooked meals and desserts, Linda cooked with her whole heart. She also had a passion for the outdoors. Whether she was fishing, gardening, or sitting on the porch, she found great joy in being outside.

Linda felt honored to be a part of her community. She and her children attended Trinity Baptist Church and she volunteered for her children’s scholastic events. And after 35 years of service, she retired from Yoakum County. From young to old, she touched many lives while working at both the Youth Center and the Senior Citizen Center.

Linda is survived by her children, Robert Horton, Vicki Horton, Vincent Horton, Greg Horton, and Eric and wife Stacy Horton; grandchildren Brooklyn Horton, Sandon and Darian Horton; and siblings Palestine Dapaah and Lessie Smith Coleman. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those whom she touched with her love, warmth, and generosity.
