Jose Guadalupe Chavez

Seagraves... Jose Guadalupe Chavez, age 87, of Seagraves, died April 21, 2025 in Lubbock Texas.

Jose was born December 12, 1939 in Calabazas Chihuahua, Mexico to Isabel Chavez. Jose married to Ludivina Chavez in 1977 in Brownfield Texas. They had a son and three daughters. Jose worked for thirty years as a DJ for KIKZ. Jose was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. He was an avid news junkie; music lover and a gentle loving man.

Jose is survived by a son, Sergio Chavez & wife Elizabeth; daughters Elizabeth Chavez, Isabel Chavez, and Linda Chavez. Jose is also survived by grandsons, Julio Chavez, Adrianna Chavez, Sergio Chavez, and Ezequiel Carrizales along with a sister, Lucia Chavez and one great Grandchild, Olivia Q. Chavez.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents; wife Elizabet,;son, Joey Chavez and brother Lorenzo Chavez.

Services are pending under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seagraves.
