Joe Dennis Nevarez

Funeral Services for Joe Dennis Nevarez, 58, of Denver City will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 12, 2022 in the First Assembly of God with Rev. Tony Pitcox officiating, assisted by Justin Nevarez with interment following in the Denver City Memorial Park under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.

Joe passed away Monday, November 28, 2022 in Lubbock, Texas.

Joe was born December 28, 1963 in Denver City, Texas to Johnny and Esther Garate Nevarez.

He lettered in track and football in school and also participated in the Civil War Battle reenactment, graduated from Denver City High School in 1982. Joe married Debra Drury on August 28, 1982 in Denver City, Texas. Joe was a great husband, father and grandfather, he worked as a reverse unit operator for many years. Joe was a longtime member of the American Jr. Rodeo Association, he loved the Cowboy and Rodeo life. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents.

Joe is survived by his wife Debra Nevarez of the home; two sons Richard Nevarez, Justin Nevarez and his wife Sheila all of Denver City; a granddaughter Madalyn Nevarez of Pecos; a brother Rick Nevarez of Fort Worth; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family visitation will be held Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
