She was born in Odessa, Texas on October 9, 1991 to Ruben Guzman and Teresa Espino.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and several aunts and uncles.

Jessica is survived by her children, Evelyn Marrufo, Aydaly Marrufo, Judith Marrufo, and Jose Miguel Hernandez; sisters, Martha Zubia, Nora Hinojosa, Sandra Soto, and Bilma Lozano, and numerous nieces and nephews who called her Kika
