Seagraves… Funeral services for Jerry B. Hart,90, of Seagraves will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 2,2025 in the First Baptist Church of Seagraves with Pastor Seth Pittman officiating, with interment following in the Gaines County Seagraves Cemetery under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seagraves.

Jerry passed away Monday, April 28,2025 in Terry County.

Jerry was born in Alma Arkansas to Conley Hart and Dovie Lee Lane on June 14,1934. Jerry married Nettie Carroll, the mother of his children. Jerry later in life married Mabel Denton. Jerry had a long career with the Postal Service serving as the Seagraves Post Master for 30 yrs. Jerry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Seagraves and the Lion’s Club along with raising a family until retirement. Jerry had a great sense of humor and always loved a good joke. He also loved playing Bingo at the Senior Citizens; dominos; travel and bowling with a league in Denver City. Jerry was a very kind and generous man that always had a candy bar ready to give out.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jerry Wayne Hart; Grandson, Christopher Kory Mozingo along with a brother, Gene Donald Hart.

Jerry is survived by daughters: Melinda Bottino & husband Jason; Donna Mozingo & husband Steve; Kim Vanover & husband John; Brenda Bridgforth & husband Kennedy; Brother, Darrell Hart along with three Grandchildren; Krista Gudmundson, Danielle Hester, Michael Hester and one Great Grandchild, Devon Mozingo. Nephews: Todd & Kevin Hart and niece, Susan Hart.

The Family offers a special Thanks to Erin & Jeff Cates Family and all the Friends that looked in on Jerry.

Family visitation will be held Thursday, May 1st from 6-8 P.M. at the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel. The Family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
