James Joseph “Jim” Pyzdrowski, 79, of Denver City, Texas, passed early morning Saturday, March 8, 2025, at his home from cancer.

Burial will be in Illinois at Mt Calvary Cemetery on a future date. A private grave side ceremony for family will be held at that time.


James Joseph Pyzdrowski was born September 19, 1945, in Kankakee, IL, the son of Louis A. Pyzdrowski and Doloris A. Garreau Pyzdrowski.


Surviving are six children:

Gail Pyzdrowski and Juan Pizano of Saint Anne, IL

Stephen (Steve) and Amy Pyzdrowski of Westville, IN

Tamra (Tami) and Scott James of Kentland, IN

Matthew Pyzdrowski and Kristen Sanchez of Gilbert, AZ

Amy and Ray Jones of Hobbs, NM

Jessica West of Austin, TX


Grandchildren:

Shawn (Rachel) Diaz, Andrew (Noah) Rouse-Pyzdrowski, Deanna Diaz, Tyler (Myia) Pyzdrowski, Danielle Diaz, Cody (Brittnie) Jackson, Gabrielle (George) Jackson, Thomas Applegate, Owen Pyzdrowski, Sadie West, Jeremiah Gleba, Hannah Gleba, Markus Gleba, Rachel Gleba, Elizabeth Gleba, Tryston Jones, Logan Jones


Great Grandchildren:

Preceded in death

Parents Louis and Doloris Pyzdrowski, brother Jerome E. Pyzdrowski, sister Shirley A. Themer and older brother Richard that passed at birth.


Jim joined the army in 1971 and was deployed to Vietnam. He proudly served his country for 7 years. As an E-6 he was honorably discharged.


Brother Pyzdrowski was an active Mason with the Masonic Lodge #1278 of Denver City, Texas. He proudly served in several stations throughout the years. James Served as the Worshipful Master of the lodge three times, each time was a one-year term. This service made him a “Past Master Mason” of the Denver City Lodge #1278. James enjoyed his Mason bothers.

Jim also enjoyed bowling. But his family (blood or not) were his pride, and he loved them deeply.
