Funeral services for Gilbert Alvarado, Sr., 86, from Denver City, Texas will be held Monday August 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. William Catholic Church in Denver City, Texas with Father Raymundo Manriquez officiating. Family and Friend’s visitation will be held Saturday August 2, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday August 3, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel in Denver City, Texas.

Gilbert Alvarado, Sr., was born March 5, 1939 in Hargill, Texas to Juanita Gonzalez.

Gilbert is preceded in death by mother, Juanita Gonzalez; daughter, Alma Ortega; 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Gilbert is survived by his son, Gilbert Alvarado, Jr.; daughters, Gloria Galvan and husband, Joe and Norma Alvidrez and husband, Lupe; 5 grandchildren, Celesta Garcia and husband, Robert, Felicia Allison and husband, Ford, Myka Hughes and husband Cooper, Anthony Ortega and wife, Jennifer, and Sami Edwards and husband Heath; former wife, Emma Alvarado; and 13 great-grandchildren.
