Esther Marie Nevarez

Memorial Services for Esther Marie Nevarez, 81, of Denver City, Texas, will be held at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, September 29, 2022, in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Nevarez officiating, under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home, Denver City, Texas.

Esther passed away September 27, 2022 in Denver City.

Esther was born April 8, 1941, in Calvert, Texas to Joe and Carmen Villareal Garate. She attended from Morton High School. Esther married Alfonso Nevarez in 1959 in Pep, Texas. She worked for South Plains Community Action of Denver City for many years until retirement as a case worker. Esther also worked for J&J Pit Lining from 1984 to 2008, she was of Catholic Faith and a member of the St. Williams Catholic Church of Denver City. She will be greatly missed by her family and her dear friends.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alfonso Nevarez; a brother Jesse Garate and a sister Connie Carroll.

Esther is survived by her two sons Rick Nevarez of Fort Worth, Joe Dennis Nevarez and his wife Debra of Denver City; a brother Joe Garate and his wife Sue; three sisters Dolores Mullinax and her husband Jimmy, Maggie Macias and her husband Billy, Elsa Garcia and her husband Steve; a sis-in-law Becky Garate; two grandsons Richard Nevarez, Justin Nevarez and his wife Sheila; a great granddaughter Madalyn Nevarez; along with several nieces and nephews.
