Edna Pearl Hunt, 87, of Denver City, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas.


Edna was born on October 26, 1938, in Silverton, Texas, to Charlie Rowell and Emily Pearl Rowell. Throughout her life, she faced many hardships, yet she met them with remarkable strength, grace, and faith. Despite the challenges she endured, Edna remained caring and devoted to those she loved.


Edna made Denver City her home in 2000 and married Billy Hunt on July 11, 2002. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church and cherished the fellowship of her church family.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Hunt; her parents, Charlie and Emily Pearl Rowell; her daughters, Marion Biles and Tina Baxter; and her first husband, Kenneth Hooten.


Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Jimmy (Nancy) Hooten of Chico, Texas, Gene (Cindy) Hooten of Bowie, Texas, and Dean (Donna) Hooten of Bowie, Texas; her daughter, Rhonda (Jaime) McCulloch of Denver City, Texas; her stepson, Perry (Cynthia) Hunt of Denver City, Texas; her stepdaughter, Donna (Ralph) Mason of Andrews, Texas; her brothers, Dean (Theda) Rowell of Silverton, Texas, Dale (InaGale) Rowell of Fritch, Texas, and Clifford Rowell of Oklahoma; along with numerous grand and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.


Edna will be remembered for her strength through adversity, her steadfast faith, and the love she shared so freely with others.
