Memorial Services for Edmon Dean “Pete” Williams will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Westside Church of Christ, Seminole, Texas under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home, Seminole, Texas, officiated by son David Williams. Pete passed away surrounded by family on May 3, 2026, in Lubbock, Texas. Pete was born on November 15, 1947, in Lamesa, Texas to Elvis and Katherine Williams. Pete was a graduate of Seminole High School where he played football and other sports. He also was a lead actor in many productions by the SHS drama department. He was also a proud member of the Delsey Five. Pete played football on an athletic scholarship at New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, New Mexico before he was recruited to play Offensive Tackle for the Mean Green Eagles at North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. After his last football season at North Texas, Pete joined the United States Marine Corps. He served his country with a tour of duty in Viet Nam where he fought in active combat and then became part of the Military Police. Pete married the love of his life Kathy English on February 18, 1977, in Midland, Texas. While living in Seminole Pete served on the Seminole Volunteer Fire Department with his father Elvis. He was a member of the Seminole Chamber of Commerce and worked at West Texas National Bank until his retirement in 2021. Pete was also a faithful member of the Westside Church of Christ and spent time serving as an elder for the church. Pete loved to watch his family participate in sports and school activities along with being an avid fisherman. Pete was preceded in death by his parents Elvis Dean and Mary Katherine Williams. Pete is survived by his wife Kathy Williams of Seminole, his son David Williams and wife April of Seminole and a daughter Kori Kalitta of Frisco. Pete who was called “Pappy” by his seven grandchildren; Joe, Jaxon and Kaitlyn, Silas, Emily, Grayson, Aaron and Devin, Maddye and Caleb Along with four great grandchildren; J.J., Crawford, Colt, and Ila. And coming soon Caroline. In lieu of flowers please donate to Pete’s favorite cause the Tunnel of Towers Foundation.
