Donna Paula Hernandez

On Monday, July 31, 2023, Donna Hernandez, 49, of Lubbock, Texas, heard God whisper her name and as hard as it was to leave her loved ones behind, she took His hand.

Donna passed away peacefully at her residence in Lubbock, Texas surrounded by her husband, children and some family members.

Donna Paula Hernandez was born on November 30, 1973, in Denver, Colorado, to the late Wilbert Wandell and Maria Sanchez Wandell.

After meeting the love of her life and angel on earth, Michael Hernandez, Donna entered into the state of holy matrimony on March 9, 2002, in Lubbock, Texas. The couple recently celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary.

Donna was employed by Covenant Healthcare before becoming ill.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents Wilbert and Maria Wandell.

Donna leaves behind her husband Michael Hernandez of Lubbock, Texas. Her two children: her daughter, Sabrina Hernandez, her son, William Nathan Wandell and wife Gabby of Lubbock, Texas. Her three grandchildren: Hailey Wandell, Noah Wandell and Boston Wandell.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel in Brownfield, Texas, from 10 am to 8 pm. Memorial services will be held at the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 2 PM.
