Daniel Bruce Young, 69, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, surrounded by family at his home in Loop, Texas. Born on December 9, 1955, in Seminole, Texas, Danny was the son of Keith and Betty Young.
Danny graduated from Loop High School in 1975 and attended South Plains College in Levelland, Texas. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Pamela Kay Ingle, on September 23, 1978, at Ashmore Baptist Church in Loop, Texas. He was father to Danielle and Keila of Loop, Texas.
Danny spent his spare time deer hunting with his dad as a young boy and later taught his grandsons the love of hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his little sidekicks who he watched grow into fine young men. He got his trophy deer in 2009 on his dad’s farm and won several awards in Gaines County and from the State of Texas. Danny loved supporting his grandsons in their sports events and traveled many miles to watch them play.
He loved driving his jeep in Lake City, Colorado, cruising with family and friends, telling a good story, and always looking forward to his next adventure.
Danny loved to make people laugh and was kind to all. Through his quiet strength and loving guidance, he passed down lasting lessons to his daughters and grandsons—values they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
Danny was a member of Ashmore Baptist Church for over 50 years. He was involved in the church plant of Journey Fellowship in Loop, Texas, before that fellowship joined Loop Baptist Church in September 2021. He was ordained as a deacon at Loop Baptist in March 2022.
Danny farmed from 1975 to 1984 with his dad on the family farm. He was employed by Cooper Natural Resources, formerly known as Ozark-Mahoning, for 24 years from 1984 to 2008, then at Oneok Gas from 2008 to 2014, and ended his working career at Globe/Gravity Oilfield Services from 2014 to 2019. Danny was on the Loop Volunteer Fire Department when it was first organized and for many years serving his community as a firefighter.
He was preceded in death by his father Keith Young of Brownfield, Texas; Betty and Bob Cowley of Burkeville, Texas; his father-in-law Bill Ingle of Weatherford, Texas; and his nephew, Shannon Church of Fairfield, California.
Danny is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pamela (Ingle) Young; his daughters Danielle and Keila; son-in-law Jeffery Stanfield; grandsons Kaydan and Brodie Stanfield; Gina Young of Shallowater, Texas; Ruth Ingle of Levelland, Texas; Deborah and Hans Pupping of Rio Vista, California; Delilah and Tom Ingle of Loop, Texas; Lynda and Upul Hanwella of San Francisco, California; Penny and Jeff Smart of Ropesville, Texas; Brennon Church and Darlene Martin of Vacaville, California; Shannon Leyh of Fairfield, California; Zachary and Jemima Ingle of Abilene, Texas; Alaina and Michael Pollard of Grand Prairie, Texas; Jonathan Ingle of Southland, Texas; Jordan Smart of Seminole, Texas; and Logan and Madi Smart of Sudan, Texas.
