Cecil Robles

Cecil Robles Sr., 84, of Denver City, Texas went home to his Lord on Sunday March 26, 2023. He was surrounded by his beloved family. Cecil was born on October 5, 1938 to Carlos and Lucenia Robles.

On February 15, 1958, he married Soila Hernandez in Abernathy, Texas. They shared 65 years of marriage together. Cecil was a hard-working man, loving father, and grandfather and great-grandfather. Cecil was a devoted family man. He could light up a room with a smile or with one of his many one-liners. Cecil loved to fish, hunt, attend air shows, and his knowledge for classic cars (especially Mustangs) was amazing. He was also a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, John Wayne, and never grew tired of watching Gunsmoke. Soila and Cecil’s greatest joy was being “Memaw and Papaw” to their grandchildren and great grandchildren. Some of his biggest

smiles were from visits by Maddox, Mila, and Brooks. His love for family will be passed on for generations. Cecil worked in the Petroleum Industry in the Oilfield and retired in 2000, he also worked for Denver City ISD.

He is survived by his wife Soila Robles, his two sons Cecil Robles Jr, and wife Stacie of Denver City, Texas, Steve Robles and wife Becky of San Angelo, Texas, and his daughter Sylvia Stephens and husband Ronnie of Denver City, Texas. He leaves behind four grandchildren Tara Hinson and her husband Kelsey, Casey Mormon and his wife Hannah, Ashleigh and Dallas Robles. Three great-grandchildren Maddox and Mila Hinson and Brooks Robles and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents Carlos and Lucenia Robles, his sister Gloria Robles, and daughter-in-law Suzanne Robles.

Visitation will be held at Ratliff Funeral Home in Denver City, Texas on Wednesday March 29, 2023 from 5:00 -7 :00pm followed by a rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral Services for Cecil will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday March 29, 2023 at St. Williams Catholic Church in Denver City, Texas followed by a Celebration of Life Ceremony at the First Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M.
