Carrie Lujan Corral, 66, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. Carrie was born on January 9, 1959 to Charlie and Helen Lujan. Carrie grew up surrounded by love and laughter. She was a woman who wore many hats throughout her life- daughter, wife, and mom- but her favorite role was undoubtedly “Grandma.” Her 12 grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Carrie was known affectionately to many as “Mom”, “Tia”, or “La Chaparra”, Carrie had a wonderful sense of humor and a truly big heart, always extending her love and warmth to those around her.
She had a passion for life that was evident in her love for shopping, traveling, and most importantly, being with her beloved family. Carrie created countless, cherished memories with those closest to her and always made sure everyone felt loved and included.
Carrie is survived by her beloved mother, Helen Lujan; her devoted husband, Manuel Corral; her loving children, Liza Navarro, Manuel and Flor Corral III, Joey Navarro, Rosie and Jimmy Escobar, Star Corral, Jayden Corral, and Nancy Corral; her 12 grandchildren that will miss her dearly; 3 sisters; and 3 brothers.
Visitation will held Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a rosary at 6:00 P.M. at Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel in Denver City, Texas. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 9, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at St. William’s Catholic Church followed by interment at Denver City Memorial Park.
