Caden Owen Bailey Stephens, son of Cristi Stephens was born in Amarillo, Texas to Chad and Tamara Bailey on June 7, 2001, and passed from this life on June 5, 2025, in Willis Point, Texas.
Caden is survived by his mother, Cristi, two brothers, Blaine and Derek, a sister, Allysah, his grandmother, So So, Saundra Stephens and grandparents, Butch and Ramona Bailey, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his biological father, Chad, his grandfather, Ro Ro, Rowe Stephens, and his cousin, Kadin Rowe Stephens.
Caden and his brothers came to live with Cristi on December 5, 2003, and then the boys and Allysah were adopted on August 23, 2007. Caden was 2 ½ years old and only 19 pounds when he came into Cristi’s care, but he soon began to thrive and became an adventurous child, climbing on everything he could find. Sometimes, he would climb so high, he would have to be rescued by his big brother, Blaine. He was very protective of his sister, Allysah and aspired to be able to everything that his brother Derek could do.. As he grew older, he enjoyed playing board games with his siblings and cousin Kinlee every Thanksgiving and Christmas.
In elementary and junior high, he was involved in football, basketball and baseball. In high school, he was involved in robotics, mechanics, and band. He had great role models whom he looked up to: Ronny Whizenhunt, Don Bell, Larry Garcia, Brad Friesen, and his cousin, Johnny Curtis. As a young adult, he was very passionate about cars and mechanics, and he particularly enjoyed racing at the track in Idalou.
Caden will be greatly missed by a large extended family including the Wood family, the Curtis family, the Bailey family, the Rockholt family, and the Finkbiner family and numerous church and school family members.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 6:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel in Plains, Texas. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 20, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Hillside Church of Christ in Plains, Texas.
