Billye Marian King Luce

Billye Marian King Luce, age 85, was born March 31st, 1940. She was raised in Loop, TX, graduated from college at Texas Tech University, married Jackie Monroe Luce, had two children, and lived the majority of her life in the Dallas area. She went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025.

She initially worked in the fashion industry, but spent most of her life working with her husband managing various businesses.

She was a faithful church member at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Desoto, Texas, Prestonwood Baptist Sunday School in Plano, Texas, Amite Baptist Church in Denham Spring, Louisiana and a current member of The Heights Church in Richardson, Texas.

After the death of her beloved husband, Billye lived with her eldest son and family for several years in Louisiana, and then most recently resided with her youngest son and family in Richardson, Texas.

She loved spending time with her family. She was an amazing wife, loving mother, and beloved grandmother. She loved socializing and playing games like Canasta, dominoes, etc. with the family.

Billye was preceded by her husband, Jackie (Jack) Monroe Luce; her parents, Frank Marion King and Willie May Mills King of Loop, Texas; her siblings Sibyl Holloway, Millard Holloway, Arjeree Vic, and Coy Cornell. She is survived by her two children, Michael Roy Luce from Austin, Arkansas and Gregory Dale Luce from Richardson, Texas; seven grandchildren; Bethny Luce, Bekah Luce, Mikah (Luce) Woody, Noah Luce, Ashton Luce, Jesslynn Luce, and Alexander Luce; two great grandchildren; Reyvin Luce and Eden Woody. Billye leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held at Aboca’s Italian Grill (100 Central Expy Richardson Tx 75080) on Saturday Oct 4th at 10am. During the service, a time will be provided for those wishing to share about their relationship with Billye. A meal will be provided after the service. Her burial will be at Loop Texas Cemetery on Thursday Oct 2nd at 10am (Ratliff Funeral Home contact number is 806-387-3838 for details). Sincere thanks for all the loving words and prayers from friends and family.
