Beth Irene Clanahan

In loving memory of Beth Irene Clanahan, whose life was a testament to love, compassion, and an unwavering devotion to both her family and the creatures of the Earth. Born on July 19, 1948, in Hobbs, New Mexico, Beth passed away on February 29, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Beth's had a profound love for animals, a passion that touched the lives of all who knew her. Her love knew no bounds, extending to every creature she encountered, which led her to welcoming countless strays into her home over the years.

In 1973, Beth married the love of her life, N.C. Clanahan, in Tokio, Texas. N.C. preceded her in death in 2006, leaving a void that Beth carried with grace and resilience. Beth was also preceded in death by her brother, Johnny McCallum, and her close friend, Charles Smith, in 2023.

Beth's family was the center of her world, and her legacy lives on through the lives of her son, Chase Clanahan, and wife Traci from Lubbock, Texas; her daughter, Elizabeth Isbell, and husband Rhett from Puyallup, Washington; and her beloved grandchildren, Champ Clanahan, Kyra Clanahan, Skylar Isbell, Juliet Isbell, Savannah Isbell, Harper Isbell, and Scottlyn Isbell.

Beth is also survived by her brother, Sammy McCallum, and wife Marie from Hobbs, New Mexico, and countless nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, and to honor Beth's deep love for animals, memorial contributions may be made to the American Humane Society or the Terry County Veterinary Hospital. These gestures will stand as tributes to the compassion that defined her life.
