Funeral services for Abel will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Denver City, Texas at 2:00 p.m., with Daniel Dominguez and Ricky Galvan officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 8a.m. to 8 p.m., in Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel, in Denver City, Texas, on Thursday, November 16, 2023, visitation will be held at First Baptist Church, in Denver City, Texas from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home ofDenver City, Texas.

Abel was born in Denver City, Texas on November 29, 1977, to Rogelio Gonzales and Ramona Nava Gonzales.

On May 27, 1998, Abel married the love of his life, Sukanya Klaisuban, in Denver City, Texas. They celebrated 25 years of marriage. From their union they have 3 children who are left to continue his legacy. Abel worked for Pate Trucking and was a truck supervisor for 5 years. He also served one tour in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom; he served in the US Army for 12 years.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers and a grandmother.

He is survived by his wife Sukanya Gonzales of Denver City, Texas; his parents Rogelio and Ramona Gonzales of Denver City, Texas; two sons Eziquiel Gonzales and wife Lauren of Brownfield, Texas, Emmanuel Gonzales, of Denver City, Texas, and a daughter Evangelina Gonzales, of Denver City, Texas; a brother Michael G. Gonzales, of Denver City, Texas; a sister Amy K. Gonzales, of Denver City, Texas; two grandchildren Zarha Gonzales and Keanu Gonzales. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews.
